TruSpeed Motorcars is owned and operated in Costa Mesa, California by Rob Morgan. The company focuses on selling premier sports cars (Porsche, Ferrari) and various other luxury cars from Europe’s top manufacturers and beyond.

Rob Morgan’s passion for automobiles was forged from his early years while traveling the country and watching his father Charles compete in various sports car racing series. Rob quickly went from spectator to competitor at the tender age of 18. His career began in the IMSA road-racing series in the early 1990’s.

In 1996, the younger Morgan had already made a name for himself and had captured a class win at the prestigious Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona – all while completing a Marketing degree at the University of Arkansas. He won at the infamous Mosport Park in 1995, capturing Oldsmobile’s 100th victory in sports car racing and won there again in 1997, giving Ferrari their first win at the track in 1964.

In 1998, Morgan formed his own team and took his talents to the NASCAR level, competing in three straight seasons in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. After marrying at the end of the 2000 season and with a child on the way, he decided to step aside and assume an ownership role in the team. The fire of racing was not extinguished as Morgan came back in the summer of 2001 to run select SCCA Trans Am events.

In 2002, Rob Morgan’s racing efforts became even more paramount. He helped form a Grand American Rolex Series team that scored one pole and two wins, both with Rob at the wheel, and went on to win the team championship title in 2002. His NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team had one of their most successful seasons ever, with one win and an overall point finish of 6th.
